There aren't enough poems in the world…
Never Enough
There aren’t enough poems
in the world
to fill a heart.
There never can be.
Still,
I work to fill the gap,
creating more and more—
an endless stream of words—
and yet
the silent gulf remains.
All it wants
is the one thing
that it can never have.
